15th Green, Bombay Presidency

The course creators were, Baron Marcel Bich (founder of BIC pens) and his friend Yoshiaki Sakurai.   It was created as a place to invite friends for their own personal pleasure.

If you play this course, take one hole at a time.   It is a pyramid that increases in difficulty as the course is played.   Achieve a goal of scoring 80 and you have really accomplished a monumental achievement.

McDermott     Other than the Old Course at St. Andrews, Augusta National (home of The Masters), is the most famous in the world.   Augusta National is a masterpiece and if you, by an unusual quirk of fate, have an opportunity to play it, here is what you need:

Because the greens are so incredibly fast at Augusta, in order to gain control of your shots, you have to play the slopes.   This will allow you to stop the ball quicker than you could if you played the contours of the green.   This is one course where you have to know which way the green slopes  and how best to plan your approach.   Execute your approach to fire into the slopes.

For amatuers at Augusta, two putt greens  come at a premium.

TPC Scottsdale Golf Course, Arizona

Marriott Resort offers an unforgettable golfing experience.   The  Arnold Palmer Signature  course is a 6675 yard par 72 layout.   Designed by 'The King' himself, the Palmer course is a  true test of golf.   The course is kept in outstanding condition.   The greens hold  nicely and  run true, there are undulations but none are too  severe.   The fairways are very similar to  those at the famous Firestone C.C. (South) in Akron, Ohio, slightly spongy yet firm, a pleasure to play from.

The staff exhibited a high degree of professionalism and were very accommodating.   The grounds-crew were courteous enough to remain motionless during all  golf shots (rare today).

Wildfire at Marriott  receives a “must play” rating.   This is one track that won't disappoint you !   See PGA Pro Jeff Johnston and tell him we sent you !   PH: 888-705-7775
