G.A.S.P.

photo credit: Kevitivity Every great golf swing begins with a good foundation, the address position. It is futile for an instructor to try to correct any swing flaws if there is a problem with the address. Every set-up includes Grip, Aim, Stance and Posture: or G.A.S.P.
Every time you set up to the ball, say the word GASP and mentally go over each part. First check your grip (G), then your aim(A), check your stance (S), and finally your posture (P). Monitoring your set-up before hitting your shots or putts, will do wonders for your game.
Without a good address position, correcting any swing flaws may be futile, if not impossible for a PGA golf instructor. Thought Key: GASP !

Thank you for your helpful comments. G.A.S.P. is a checklist that is not unlike the checklist flight crews use before take-off and landing. It is simply a mental reminder that helps you develop a consistency in your swing and game. Just like each pilot’s checklist is different, depending on the kind of aircraft in use, that’s how G.A.S.P. can be shaped to fit individual swing traits. So, I am in agreement with you about tayloring this system for each individual but believe me this method will work wonders for your game! Thanks for you input, we appreciate it.
