Putting on Fast Greens

(1) Use a very light grip to control the pace of your putterhead movement. Gripping the club tighter may give you the illusion of better control and more feel, however, you actually lose those two important equation.
(2) On fast greens your putting stroke must be extremely smooth. Your follow-through should be a little longer than your backstroke since the putterhead should accelerate through impact.
(3) Use my “inch per foot” rule” with short putts. Your backstroke should travel 1 inch for every foot of distance. Example: On a 1 ft. putt, take the club back 1 inch. On a 3 foot putt take it back 3 inches etc.
