photo credit: eMaringolo If you find that your ball is completely buried in a sand bunker you can remove loose impediments. Probing the sand with your hand/s is allowable. This rule does not apply if your ball IS visible.
In a bunker you are not permitted to ground your club, remove loose impediments or touch the sand with your hands. Doing so means a two stroke penalty.
Playing the wrong ball is a two stroke penalty in stroke play. Initial your ball to prevent this occurance.
If you are in casual water in the bunker you may drop in a dry area no closer to the hole. If the bunker is under water you may drop outside the bunker no closer to the hole and incur a one stroke penalty. Remember to familiarize yourself with the rules.
