Wildfire at Marriott Desert Ridge Resort

photo credit: danperry.com     Located at 5350 East Marriott Dr., Phoenix AZ.,  the J.W. Marriott Resort offers an unforgettable golfing experience.   The  Arnold Palmer Signature  course is a 6675 yard par 72 layout.   Designed by 'The King' himself, the Palmer course is a  true test of golf.   The course is kept in outstanding condition.   The greens hold  nicely and  run true, there are undulations but none are too  severe.   The fairways are very similar to  those at the famous Firestone C.C. (South) in Akron, Ohio, slightly spongy yet firm, a pleasure to play from.

The staff exhibited a high degree of professionalism and were very accommodating.   The grounds-crew were courteous enough to remain motionless during all  golf shots (rare today).
